Job Description/Responsibilities
You will lead our energetic team of content writers to develop concepts for website content, online advertising campaigns and corporate presentations.
You will supervise the day-to-day operations of the team, allocate jobs to writers and editors and ensure their timely completion and delivery. This will inter alia include:
- Developing content for client websites by carrying out extensive research on similar sites, studying the competitors’ content style and depth.
- Researching and developing content for Search Engine Optimization campaigns.
- Writing, revising and editing all copy for promotional material and marketing collateral such as banner ads, ad copies for PPC campaigns, direct mailers, sales letters, company newsletters, press releases, etc.
- Supervising end-to-end writing, copy editing, proofreading, developing completely new content, rewriting and modifying existing content, and also, editing and fine-tuning the existing content.
- Collaborating with marketing and designing teams on the planning and execution of creative concepts and branding strategies for online campaigns.
- Understanding and interpreting creative briefs and sharing results with team members.
- Interacting with clients to present creative concepts and incorporating client revisions and feedback as appropriate.
As The Team Leader You Will Be Expected To
- Mentor individual members, conduct performance appraisals and provide team members with timely developmental feedback.
- Ensure implementation of quality control processes by the team members and identify, develop and monitor systems for improving quality.
- Assess skill requirement in the team, work with HR to identify candidates and plan recruitment drives, conduct interviews and make correct hiring decisions.
Desired Profile Of The Candidate
- At least 4-5 years experience in industries such as ad copywriting, journalism, web content, e-learning, and digital creative.
- Ability to quickly understand concepts in a variety of subjects.
- Crisp, catchy writing style with excellent flow.
- Excellent copy editing and proof reading skills.
- Ability to work on multiple brands with an insight into consumer perception and client's requirements.
- Ability to understand brand personality & its positioning in the industry and online media.
- A creative and innovative bent of mind.
- Ability to lead a team, motivate members to perform to potential, and be a team player.
- Good time-management skills and ability to multitask and meet deadlines, even at short notice.
- Ability to communicate well (in person and in writing) with people at all levels.
- Ability to analyze & take criticism with an open mind and ensure fairness in all dealings within and outside the team.
Education
