Job Description/Responsibilities

Develop strategies, turn strategies into interaction experience and interaction experience into marketing success to help our clients engage and attract their target audience through web marketing.

Plan & execute comprehensive web marketing campaigns – search marketing (SEO, PPC campaign management), pay per performance (PPL, PPA), affiliate & email marketing, interactive creative, media buying & planning – for our North American (US & Canada), European and Australian clients.

You will lead, mentor and supervise the day-to-day operations of our energetic team of web marketing executives. This will include:

Interacting with clients to understand and present web marketing concepts, developing campaign success metrics, optimizing and reporting performance against established benchmarks.

Collaborating with designing, content and programming teams on the planning and execution of creative concepts and branding strategies for online campaigns.

Analyzing search behavior to measure how consumers are thinking about and interacting with brands.

Staying informed about the latest changes in Internet marketing, forecast upcoming trends and challenges, share them with your team and acting on them.

Viral marketing through forums, blogs, audio, video sharing online, social networking & social book marking sites, mash-ups, audio & video, mobile phones, iPods, Google Base etc.

Discover new ways to increase traffic and sales using traditional marketing techniques.

Use insights gleaned from search engine campaigns and consumer search behavior to drive creative and media planning decisions, both with interactive and traditional media.

Keep our clients educated on trends within search, online marketing and events within their particular industries. Provide them with frequent updates on competition, marketplace, and growth channels, empowering them to make the best online marketing decisions.

Plot, test and improve every campaign that ensures maximum ROI to the client.

As The Web Marketing Head You Will Be Expected To

Mentor individual members, conduct performance appraisals and provide team members with timely developmental feedback.

Ensure implementation of quality control processes by the team members and identify, develop and monitor systems for improving quality.

Assess skill requirement in the team, work with HR to identify candidates and plan recruitment drives, conduct interviews and make correct hiring decisions.

Desired Profile Of The Candidate

Experience

You should have 5 - 7 years of experience in Internet marketing. A visionary with highly entrepreneurial attitude who is ready for any challenge is preferred.

Proven experience of leading a team of web marketing experts and delivering projects on time and to brief.

Web marketing expert with proven track record. Should be a good strategist/tactician and have knowledge of the latest industry trends.

Essential Skills

Strong presentation and interpersonal skills – ability to gain confidence of the client and motivate team to achieve its goal.

Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Sound knowledge of English is MUST.

Ability to multitask – You will need to juggle many tasks simultaneously, service multiple clients and adapt to change.

Proficiency with MS Office, web analytics applications (Google Analytics, HBX Analytics etc.), keywords research tools (Wordtracker, Keyword Discovery etc.), automated SEO tools and affiliate marketing tools.

Ability to work on multiple brands with an insight into consumer perception and client's requirements.

Ability to understand brand personality & its positioning in the industry and online media.

An analytical, creative and innovative bent of mind.

Management Skills

Ability to lead a team, motivate members to perform to potential, and be a team player.

Strong leadership, managerial, organizational and analytical capabilities. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Good time-management skills, ability to multitask and meet deadlines, even at short notice.

Ability to communicate well (in person and in writing) with people at all levels.

Ability to analyze & take criticism with an open mind and ensure fairness in all dealings within and outside the team.

Education

UG: Any.
PG: MBA/PGDBM in marketing preferred.
